The Coastal Region of Costa Blanca and its Attractions

This land of sun and surf has perfect weather nearly year round and is quickly becoming one of the fastest growing tourist destinations in the world. With vibrant, modern cities like villa espagne, Alicante and Benidorm and quaint sea-villages such as Javea and Denia, there is a town, an atmosphere, which will suit anyone.

The Big Cities

The capital of the province, Alicante, is the cultural and economic center of the region. With tourist packed beaches and a pulsating night-life, it is a modern city in the middle of a growth spurt. Close to Alicante is another large town, but not nearly as big as its sister city, Elche, is known for its massive palm forests. The residential architecture of Elche is unique and stunningly beautiful with its compact design and pastel tones.

The entertainment metropolis of the area is Benidorm. With literally hundreds of bars and clubs, it is the party-goers dream destination. The beaches of Benidorm offer a relaxing place to rest up after a night of hitting the clubs. Within these large cities are ultra-modern accommodations and five-star dining. Benidorm and Alicante offer everything that cities like L.A. and New York do and sometimes more.

The Small Villages

The countryside of the Costa Blanca region can be stunningly breath-taking. Driving along the coastal highway, tourists are blessed with views of ocean cliffs drenched with rainbow strewn spray. Almond orchards and orange groves dot the hillside between villages surrounded by picturesque, terraced buildings. Javea and Denia are small fishing towns painted vibrant pastels that almost jut from the cliffside. Colorful Moraira and Villajoyosa seem to harken to a medieval period of knights and sleepy hamlets.

Other Attractions

Continuing to follow the coastal highway will lead a tourist to many theme parks. With waterslides and roller-coasters, Costa Blanca’s theme park industry has some of the best rides in the world. The beaches throughout the region offer a mix of secluded, white-sand gems all the way to tourist packed, bar and restaurant lined extravaganzas.

With a well-developed infrastructure and industry, the Costa Blanca region offers countless attractions. For the young, partying tourist, Benidorm and Alicante’s bars and clubs would be an attractive destination. A family might enjoy the quiet solitude of Denia or Javea. Regardless of the taste of the person, there is something to whet everyone’s appetite in Costa Blanca.
